Our Achievements Thanks to Your Support

Thank you to everyone who has supported us with your patronage and donations.

Your donations go towards the costs of hiring the hall, public liability insurance and purchasing equipment and materials for our repairers to use.

In our 31 sessions since we started (up to April 2026), we received 900 items for possible repair of which we successfully repaired 676. That is a 75% success rate. For those items which have come to their end of life at least the owners know they have tried to give their items a second life before recycling them.

Accordingly, 677 items went home for further use rather and a carbon saving of approximately 12,793 kilos of CO2e was achieved.

Our volunteers have agreed that when the donations we receive exceed the amount we require to effectively fund our operations, then South Hereford Repair Café will look to make a donation to another local charity or worthy cause.

To date we have made donations to :

• October 2024 – £500 donation to Herefordshire Vennture
• January 2025 – £250 towards the cost of 3 sets of weighing scales for the catering department at Hereford & Ludlow College, Hereford.
• May 2026 – £400 donation to Midlands Air Ambulance
• May 2026 – £175 donation to Dore Community Transport providing transport support for those (of any age or physical ability, singly or in small groups) who live in South-West Herefordshire
